Amy Littlejohn is a self - taught artist currently living in Suffolk, focusing primarily on expressionist landscape painting. 

 

Having been raised among the countryside and the coast, Amy has drawn inspiration from her surroundings to create a series of works depicting the landscape of her home.

 'From a young age i always had an interest in art, my mum is a chef who has a passion for drawing and my dad is a musician so I've always been surrounded by creativity, it felt like a natural path for me to follow.'

 'I've always lived very close to the coast and as a child I would always walk along Sizewell or Thorpness beach with my family so there has always been a meaningful connection there for me which is why most of my works are sea scapes. The juxtaposition of the waves seeming romantic and picturesque to the reality of them actually being very dangerous has alway intrigued me, something that can be so beautiful can also be so deadly.'
